因其造型似牛头,又名“牛头尊”。又因多绘百鹿纹,所以又叫“百鹿尊”。胎体厚重,造型端庄,肩部附螭龙耳。通体以粉彩绘山水百鹿图,百鹿神态各异,或奔跑,或嬉戏,或觅食,或小憩,一派生机勃勃的景象,四周衬以参天古树,山峦叠嶂及瀑布溪流,绘画形象生动,自然逼真。鹿与“禄”谐音,禄即俸禄,百禄形容俸禄之丰厚,因此百鹿纹是祝颂加官进禄的吉祥图案。
